I litter-picked on the route through to Woodmancote while Tess followed the scents through the trees. I found countless scrunched-up cigarette packets thrown from car windows, beer cans tossed into the undergrowth and a heart-shaped balloon that I'd seen caught in a tree since the start of lockdown.
