I knew the pathway like the back of my hand...

What could be more pleasant than a run in the sun on familiar roads to a new pharmacy in Hackney to pick up a repeat prescription for Mrs M, and so it turned out. The chemist was only limiting two people in the shop so no social distancing issues there and the team behind the counter were both friendly and efficient.

A short run then to Mrs M's flat with her medicines, up to the fourth floor and then passing the bag to her whilst maintaining distance. A brief chat - she was very grateful for the pickup explaining she could no longer venture out - and then it was homeward bound.

The surroundings were familiar, so I took a diversion on the run home to go past the usual bakery meeting spot for the Hackney GG Tuesday evening Group Runs for old time's sake - in these strange times, there was something reassuring about the familiarity of running a well trodden route from here all the way home in the midday sunshine.
