Hot out today, but we rose above it

3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Wandsworth.

Three runners overcame some sweltering weather to help out Mrs Z with her garden. Sadly Mrs Z's health has prevented her from tending to her garden much of late and it's getting a little wild around the edges. Lacking the tools to tackle the wild expanses of the back garden, we set to work on giving the front garden a makeover.

Sally didn't let a lack of gardening gloves hold her back and quickly improvised by donning a pair of Mrs Z's washing up gloves. Not even an encounter with a spider larger than a £2 coin could hold us back. By the end we'd filled FIVE whole bags with weeds and other clutter.

Mrs Z was delighted with our efforts. Though the job isn't quite done yet and another team will eventually need to return to clean up the back garden.
