It's Saturday!!!... It's the day when I go to see Mrs D, and today has been no exception. She was feeling better than last time I'd seen her. She was telling me a number of stories about her carers and nurses and doctors. But the one that stayed with me was this one. A long time ago, when her dad was in the hospital, she saw a man on the same ward that had the wrong leg amputated. This happened by mistake, as the wrong leg had been marked before the op. And of course, then he had the other leg amputated too. Mrs D felt very sorry for him as he had no family to support him either, and she's never forgotten that incident. And she tells me that ever since, whenever she's been to the hospital for surgery, she's been determined to watch both her legs, to make sure they stay in place!!... I've pointed out that it may be quite difficult to keep an eye on one's legs, if they put you to sleep before the surgery! 😂😂😂 Once again, Mrs D's spin on an otherwise sad story, has made us both laugh heartedly!
