We arrived at the SHP allotment and divided up the tasks as usual with Ed tending to the compost bin and watering the fruit trees while Linda tended and watered the beds with other produce.

Todays furry creature encounter was a bold squirrel, we later saw two cats but they didn't hang around long enough to be photographed. No sign of sprouting on D's newly planted bed but T and R's gourd, tomato and bean plot is looking very healthy.

We then set about rescuing the redcurrant bush which was looking a bit sad. Once the overgrown grass was cleared from it we could see it had been starting to fruit but as the fruit was touching the ground it was starting to rot so we fashioned a stake out of a bit of the ex-greenhouse and tied it up hoping it will feel better for it.

Someone had decided to empty out bags of frozen peas and broccoli by the fence 🤷🏼‍♀️ nothing is wasted on this plot so we scooped it up and popped it in with the compost.
