Here's what Mr S of SE17 had to say about the mission:

They did a great job!

Mr S of SE17, mission beneficiary

Goodgym Mission regular Yangki (who was on his second mission of the day!) met with Mission first-timer Katy to help mow Mr S's lawn on the very hot and sunny 1st of June.

There were lots of high growing weeds all over the lawn as Mr S is unable to work on it himself, but this didn't put us off! Unfortunately the lawnmower that had come with the house when Mr S moved in didn't work, but his lovely neighbour came to the rescue with 2 strimmers, so we were able to get to work.

One of the strimmers was a bit temperamental , but Yangki did an excellent job of fixing it and together we were able to make a great difference on the lawn. We had time to go over the whole thing once and rake all the trimmings, and hopefully if more runners go back they can strim again and mow the lawn to a short level.

Mr S was really grateful as he'll now be able to use the garden for himself and also for when he gets a guidedog which he's on the waiting list for. He also provided us with ice tea which was super thirst quenching in the heat!
