Find out about GoodGym TaskForce
Report written by Windsor and Maidenhead runner
Georgeta and Sheila made another return visit to Mr C, who is described in the referral as 'the lovely Mr C' which is a very accurate description. The task was to tame the front hedge. Georgeta arrived first and started tackling the hedge with the hedge trimmer, and by the time Sheila arrived, had produced a huge pile of clippings. Sheila's job was to load these into the hippo bags, trying to avoid the pesky brambles which clung on to everything. Georgeta, through sheer determination, managed to reach even the top-most tufts, and by the end had produced a beautifully sculpted hedge. Mr C was delighted with his lovely tidy garden, which he will enjoy looking out on. We were rewarded with a cup of tea (and sharing a chair with Rupert the Bear) and some delicious Dorset apple cake provided by Georgeta. Mmmmm!
