Harvest Festival

Finally things on the SHP allotment are working as they should. The idea is that they engage with helping out there and the produce goes back to the shelter for their chef to use in the shelters kitchen. Today I met with Chris (SHP volunteer) and together we harvested two bags of pears a pot of berries and the last of the onions. OK so not a massive harvest but its a a start and an improvement on last year.

Linda then went on to weed the rest of the old onion bed while Chris watered the trees and other remaining crops. We then conferred about plans for next year.
