It's New Years Day, many a hangover in sight! But at the Junction, Broadstone is full of 500 runners about to complete the 1st DRRL race of year, the Broadstone Quarter. It always raises lots of money oft charity but this year, the RD, Sarah Swift agreed it would be great to also collect donations for a local food bank!

Crates were dropped off before Christmas by Ellen. Esther brought them to Junction for 8am to join a few other sleepy admin staff!

Shelley joined at 8.30am and was all ready for the onslaught of runners! Esther was back out to marshal and Shelley on course on time to support the runners at 10.30!

Two hours later, bags, crates all full with tins, jars, packets and more as requested!

Thank you to all runners for donations!

We hope we can repeat it again next year!
