Mission

Hang the line for Ms S

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Greenwich.

Sunday, 29th of January 2017

Ben and Nina spent Sunday morning hanging a washing line and chatting with Ms V.

Beating the ran on the run there, a couple of laps round Greewich park for Ben, and a steady mile and a half for Nina it was time to get the business.

Who knew putting up a washing line would be so tricky? Not just a simple end to end hook. Ms V wanted to be able move the line up and down, requiring more skills. Out came a very wobbly ladder, and a brave Ben took on the task of fixing the line to the top of the pole, with Nina hoping he wouldn't end up through the roof of the greenhouse.

Job done, and time left for a chat with Ms V, lots of stories about her school days during the war, and her bike rides out to Kent.

Time to head off before the rain clouds opened, leaving a happy Ms V, and a very happy Ben and Nina.
