I got lost trying to find the Crouch End Open Space volunteers, but eventually found one of the ladies painting metal posts to get rid of rust. Glenys who normally runs everything was unwell and went home soonish, and when it was evident that I was going to be the only one turning up in the cold I was given our task for the day. I was working with a lovely elderly gentleman who was a retired teacher, who had some great stories and when we had finished let me use his toilet and change out of my wet gear at his house!

We needed to put down chicken wire down on some wooden paths to lessen the slip risk. It is such a busy park with alot of families and people with dogs. We knocked in alot of nails, which meant being super handy with a hammer, which Im not really. But I get an A for trying! It was slow going for a while, but Glenys son came down and helped us with the last bit so eventually the complete roll got hammered down!
