1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Redbridge.

As part of the Great British Spring Clean one of the residents of Wanstead took it upon himself to organise a clean-up in the local area, supplementing the main event in Redbridge to take place in Ilford. Several local volunteering organisations joined Dan and Goodgym couldn’t resist to lend a hand as well. So on a pleasant spring morning about a dozen people got together on Wanstead Green to spend some time clearing the rubbish left behind by careless visitors / passers by. Armed with bin bags & litter pickers part of the team took care of the green itself, while others went up the road to tackle the pile of rubbish behind a prickly hedge, which had been gathering there for years by the looks of it. An hour later an impressive pile of full bin bags was awaiting the councils rubbish truck and with a satisfied feeling most of the group retired for a well deserved cup of coffee/tea/etc.

This was the first mission for the Redbridge team, which unfortunately is still a small team with only few DBS checked members, hence the perhaps low turn-out. But this is surely to improve soon, so watch this space for more missions in the future!
