Got a bone to pick

3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.

Patrick, Steph and Vicki ran over to meet Mr B in his garden in Hackney to help clear the garden of rubbish and some overgrown bushes. When we arrived the tools were nowhere to be found, but luckily we each had a back up pair of gardening gloves in out rucksacks so quickly got to work clearing up and bagging the rubbish that had accumulated in Mr B's garden.

We came across all sorts of wildlife: many woodlice, large worms and even some bones which a neighbour confirmed was of a cat that must have passed away some time ago . We covered it with some soil to give it a proper resting place. Poor thing.

Six garden waste bags later and we'd done a good job of clearing one side of the garden. The other half had to be left for another day as Hackney Homes are going to chop some of the larger trees down which are blocking light into Mr B's property. Armed with some tools it shouldn't take long to finish the job in the next follow up mission and make a nice and tidy garden and path for Mr B. To be continued....
