Today the SHP allotment was looking so dry it was decided not to do any strimming in case the motor sparked a grass fire.😬 So Ed watered the trees while Linda watered the beds and berry plants. We then covered the last bed we had weeded with cardboard to rest the soil by stopping more weeds, except for a tiny walnut sapling which had seeded itself and Linda decided deserved to live. Meanwhile Ed wetted and turned the compost. By the time we had finished sweat was stinging our eyes so we picked up a bag of rubbish to be taken away and called it a day.
