This was Goodgym Poole First Community Mission back!

So much has happened to each and everyone of us over the past 100+ days, it seemed a strange question to even ask 'How are you' knowing actually its been really tough for everyone in there own way.

It was 6 regular attendees that arrived at the Children's Centre - A task that was planned for March pre lockdown!

Instead of the usual mass arriving with hugs and chatter, it was quieter with just 6 of us arriving at Children's Centre to meet Helen. Even without the usual Goodgym briefing it was a little odd and a reminder that things are different at the moment. We split into the two groups - 3 working on boxes to clear and compost ready for planting in future. The other 3 working on the dead grass and weeds in the main bed. 30 minutes later the boxes were complete and the dead grass was removed. Helen had kindly prepared equipment already cleaned for us and everyone brought their own gloves.

After the task we headed off for a run along the quay with Ali and Pat leaving us a bit earlier, whilst Jane carried on home after we had finished whilst Sian jumped back onto her bike to go home!

We are booked to go back again next month with a regular slot of first Thursday of every month going forward with 6-8 runners to join Helen.
