The three of us met in Southwark to help clear out a room so Mr J can come home for palliative care. When we arrived, we realised there were four pretty dauntingly steep flights of stairs to ascend before even getting to the front door.

We got to work on the bunk bed and with teamwork and an array of screwdrivers and allen keys, had it disassembled and downstairs in no time, ably assisted by Mr J's wife and daughter.

The large fridge/freezer was a more difficult prospect. With a shuffle/shove technique we got it out of the flat and down the first step, then we hit an impasse! Dom had his sensible, GoodGym risk assessed hat on, and pointed out that it probably wouldn't be safe to try and get it the whole way without risk of broken bones and maybe worse...! So we settled for getting it down the first flight of stairs, and now at least Mr J's family can clear the room ready for his return home. They will have to call the professionals in for the fridge!

Finally, we removed an exercise machine, maneuvring it carefully around the now-abandoned fridge, and headed off on our way.
