Freezy like Sunday morning

Ockwells junior parkrun is a free, timed, 2km run, which brings families together in the (very) fresh air at Ockwells park every Sunday morning. Thanks to Run Director StJohn Ford for welcoming us to the event this week - it is always a pleasure to be involved, and we'll be back again when it's a bit warmer! Well done to all the runners and volunteers today. Special mentions for the following: - Duke of Edinburgh award volunteer Dylan Weller who is continuing to volunteer even though he has completed the required number of sessions - Robin (mini version of area activator Amy) who collected her marathon wristband today, having completed her 21st junior parkrun last week - Anita, Sheila, Sophie, Jess, Anna and Georgeta for marshalling and cheering on the runners - Amanda for tail walking, Kelley for photography, Juli for timing and Nick for handing out tokens - all the regular volunteers, who give their time week after week to make the event a success, and who welcomed us to the roster today - all the runners (and their parents) who braved the cold wind and the muddy grass, especially the 4 who have shiny new PBs.
