Mission

Everything in its right place

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.

To celebrate me finally getting my backside in gear and renewing my DBS I thought I'd try out my first mission to help someone home from hospital and thankfully Nicky was good enough to join me to make it happen. It was a tad warmer today than I had anticipated and the run from Somerset House to Bermondsey was a little tough (not to mention nerve-wracking as I feared for my now baldy bonce). That said I arrived in decent spirits and was pleased to see Nicky rolling up after getting a little lost on the way.

We were greeted by Leanna who gave us our instructions - it was to be a simple but surgical operation, carefully moving two tables to the corner of the room, both to make room for some hospital furniture, but also en sure that there was as little disruption as possible for Miss A's return from hospital (I know how she feels, I hate it when people tidy my stuff away into a "safe" place).

In no time at all we were done and though we were itching to do more, sometimes one must have patience - there'll be tougher missions ahead I'm sure.
