Mark set the tone with a top notch warm up which included a (somewhat complicated) relay that had some of us running in circles, the lucky ones with a big packet of Oreo biscuits in their hands and some of us running empty handed, but with great enthusiasm and the hope of eating the biscuits at the end.

After much confusion, Mark decided enough was enough and we picked up our gardening gloves and head torches and set off across Richmond Green heading out towards the river. Did we take the direct route? Absolutely not, but the scenic route along the river made up for it. Some of us got a little lost and couldn't see our fluorescent comrades ahead, but luckily Mark came back and pointed us in the right direction.

After spotting a few low flying bats in the windy back streets, we arrived at ETNA to be split into 4 teams. Set to tackle a variety of tasks: sweeping, weeding, watering and planting, we gathered our tools for the shed and headed off.

There didn't seem to be many weeds so we started dreaming of taking it easy and digging into the Oreos. But then we discovered a corner full of weeds so got into digging them out instead!

As the winter night's draw in it's harder to work in low light conditions, but it places more emphasis on working together as a team. We pulled weeds, swept ramps, planted bulbs and, as always, chatted about all the great things going on at ETNA.

Welcome to Lucy on her first GoodGym run, hope to see you again soon.

Tonight's highlights included Elaine hitting her 100th run, just before flying to pastures new in New Zealand. We will miss her positive vibes at Goodgym Richmond! We said our fairwells in the pub where we also showed off our Richmond RunFest bling and used our free beer vouchers from the runs!
