It was a quiet one tonight on our first NEW task for a while!

Pat met us in the beautiful rose garden of Wilthorpe park and explained a bit about the park and the projects they have on. There's a team of regular volunteers and they have been busy preparing for the Barnsley in Bloom competition tomorrow!

The park looked amazing and myself and Sharon were wondering if there'd be anything left for us to do! Pat led us down to the 'Snowdrop Hill' at the bottom of the park, where there was some edging work to be done. We got stuck in using the hoes and brushes, pulling up the weeds bit by bit. We even attracted the help of a group of local kids who asked if we were the 'park cleaners'!

After an hour of pure upper-body workout, the path looked fabulous! Back up the hill we went with the tools and mulch and we were on our way. A job well done!
