Celebrating 100 deeds with one hundred ways to arrange furniture
2 runners ran to help an isolated older person in Southwark.
- Wednesday, 1st of July 2020
After an early start, a wave down the street to make sure we were both at the right house and a riveting tale of Mr B's time spent working on the Tube we were set to work.
Today's goal was to move some furniture upstairs to make room for Mrs E's bed downstairs so she could come home from hospital. Luckily for us, some family members had stopped by the day before to move a few of the pieces of furniture but there was still more to go.
After examining the space we decided a re-arrange was needed before more could be added. A lot of care was required to move the glass cabinet of china statues and a table before we could swing the bed round to make room for the heavy-looking chair.
It turns out the chair was lighter than it looked and after a few twists round corners it slotted nicely among the rest of the furniture, out of the way of the bed ready for the Medequip team to move downstairs later today.
Big congratulations to Pippa for her 100th Good Deed! As if to prove just how amazing she is, she's going off to do another mission today!
