Hark, the herald angel (Chris) did say 'Hear me oh people of GoodGym! 'Tis sad tidings I bring, for the task of Goodness for which you seemed destined has been cancel'ed (due to a plage of flu being visited upon the lady who we'd arranged the task with)'

And lo, GoodGym Bristol was much saddened by this news.

But then a star (aka personal trainer) appeared in the East and said 'Glad shall we be, for whilst we shall not run unto Bedminster, we shall run about the docks and then do burpees and other such things destined to make us fitter;'.

Thus, filled with joy in their hearts, and anticipation of wondrous and yet tough exercises, the wise men and women of GoodGym did run, fleet footed, and encircled the docks oncely.

And then a time came when they ran no more and instead took shelter by the entrance to a car park, for it did rain mightily. Then again the star did speak.

'This challenge ye shall face! 12 exercises shall be done as fast as ye can, but as well as ye can also. Press-ups, squats, burpees, dips of the triceps , lunges, more burpees, and other such things will thou perform.'

The wise men and women of GoodGym cheered to hear such great tidings of nasty exercises and didst perform them all with brave hearts, even the one minute plank which led to a bit of grumblement.

And thus Tuesday night GoodGym concluded with a jog up to a humble inn where they did stretch and know that despite not going to do a task that cold Christmas eve, they had still done good.

Know, stout GoodGymers, that ye hast made 2014 a year of wonderment and fantasticalitue, in which much Good has been performed for many folks of our fair city. Though the peril of the Bristol crocodile, used needles, getting lost and doing a task with no tools has challenged us, the sight of tiny piglets, playing with bits of material at the Scrapstore, and getting to know one another has carried us through this year. My gratitude and fond wishes, I give to you all.
