My second shopping visit to Mr S, who is housebound after being discharged from hospital recently.
Whereas last week's shop entailed a tour of nearby smaller stores, Mr S had a completely non-overlapping list of items this week and asked me to visit a larger supermarket just a little further away.
While I am no stranger to my local Sainsbury's, this one seemed to have a completely different layout and even had antipodal checkout machines, with the basket and packing areas on opposite sides of the screen to usual.
Managed nevertheless to secure all the requested food items. Just two date-related issues. First, Mr S wanted a TV guide to specifically cover this week, but only newer ones for next week's programmes were available.
Second, he wanted a calendar - but the only ones in store were football themed, with a choice of Manchester United or Liverpool. Not at all suitable for a Chelsea fan like Mr S.
Back then to Mr S's flat to help unpack the items and as a parting good deed, take his bin bags out.
