My new self-isolating friend needed a top-up shop so who am I to deny him his earthly pleasures on such a sunny day.
One of my favourite items this week was crusty bread. This led to a great discussion with the guy at the till about what they did with the crusts (bread and butter puddings he reckoned) and the curly goodness they apparently bring. (Please note this has never been scientifically proven and should be taken as floury and half-baked hearsay at best.)
High quality natter over I marched up the hill and dropped off the shopping.
