Bin there, done that!
2 GoodGymers made their way to help the Sheffield Litter Pickers in Barnsley.

James and a GoodGym tourist from Hackney, Kate, joined a local litterpicking group for a major woodland pick! It was a glorious sunny day and we just couldn't skip the opportunity! We didn't waste any time and weren't sluggish picking up the rubbish. All of the pickers refuse(d) to ignore the trash in the woods, and were happy to get fitter while picking up litter.
Many 'interesting' items were found in the woods, so many that one skip was not enough, we could've filled 3! We gathered a sofa, parts of a bed, a football, many needles (which we safely stashed in cans), a plethora of condom wrappers, a pot noodle from high up a tree, a large steel BBQ, a pushchair, a mysterious huge metal cannister, an engine (which dripped oil all over one of the volunteers, but setting me up for the pun 'oil be back!), some hub caps, parts of phones and many other items!
After a good 3 hours of picking we admired our handy work, said our goodbyes and left a much cleaner and safer environment behind.
