Tonight, 6 GoodGymers helped at Sparkhill Foodbank on the clothes bank side of operations to assist Narthex, a charity which does great and much needed work at resourcing those in need.

This comprised going through bags of donations and sorting them by items of clothing and size etc.

Rose undertook a shift prior to the rest of us arriving and we could see what a fabulous job she had done sorting through and organising ladies' shoes, which helped to create more space and makes them easier to search for moving forward - as seen in the photos Rose took.

Undeterred by canceled trains, we made it to the warehouse and had a great shift. We started by making up specific bags of clothing which had been requested by those in need before moving on to sorting and storing a general mix of clothes donations, including lots of kids clothing. We managed to get a few action shots, including Amy with a beep beep car top and Tom with a puppy costume for a baby photo shoot.

The next session will be on Monday 9th January and we look forward to going back in the New Year. I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and happy New Year :)
