3 Good Gym runners joined forces with a group of Nunsmoor Volunteers (shout out to Margaret, Jo and Gail, and others for all their great work).

We organised into 2 groups to tidy flower beds, lop branches and weed very overgrown shrubbed areas (this last one being the GG group’s job).

Chatting while we worked, the time flew by and, despite having just done a Park Run (Lucy at Leazes, Tom at Herrington), they put their all into it and we got so much done - as I think the before & after pictures testify….

A special hello to Tom, member of York Good Gym who was on his way to a holiday in Kielder via Herrington Park Run & Nunsmoor – though his first stop when he left us was a well deserved breakfast 😊. This lovely city park is lovely mainly because of the volunteers and they could do with more help. So, look out for the next task here and treat yourself afterwards to a cuppa in the sanctuary of their Bike Garden.

What’s not to love…
