Bedding down on the Downs...

It was good to meet up again with Andrew near Hackney Downs this afternoon for a bed shifting mission. Both of us breathed a huge sigh of relief when we discovered Ms V's flat was on the ground floor - no dealing with lifts or endless narrow corridors for this mission.

Ms V's grandson, J, was there to project manage the task - he explained that Ms V is due to be released from hospital next week and so needed the existing bed base and mattress removed from an upstairs room in preparation for hospital equipment to arrive.

Many hands clearly made light work, as we had all the bed parts down the staircase and moved to the refuse area in what felt like next to no time. J was extremely grateful for our assistance and we wished him well for next week and the return home of his grandmother.
