Mission

Bed start

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Westminster.

Today before work, I cycled to help Mrs J disassemble a double bed.

On signing up, I hadn't twigged the importance of the task going off without a hitch - within an hour of the task time, movers were scheduled to descend and start packing up Mrs J's stuff as she's in the middle of moving home.

I arrived, a bit warmer and redder than planned as I'd forgotten to charge my ebike at all 😅, and was shown the bed. It was a wooden double bed, the likes of which I've tackled many of on missions (and in a recent move of my own), and with Mrs J's tools I soon had it taken apart and ready for the movers to put in a van.

Given that Mrs J was a bit worried about the move, I also helped out by taking down some blinds for her, and consolidating some of her packing. Before long, I hopped back on my bike and headed to the office (or as it is for many of us now, my laptop on the dining table 😄).

Mission accomplished!
