Back to Pack

North Paddington Foodbank is based at St Luke's church in Queens Park. Goodgym Brent have a regular Friday night slot to pack the Foodbank up ready for the Church to use the hall at the weekend. I joined two regular Foodbank volunteers on Thursday evening to help pack crates of food for local people. Then I was shown how to adapt the standard crates for specific customers...they cater for everyone! Halal, vegan, dairy free, diabetics, babies...and even dogs! After ensuring the crates contained the correct food, I bagged them up ready for tomorrow's delivery. Its an essential lifeline for the local community, this session runs every Tue, Wed and Thurs and I will be back again soon.
