It may have been absolutely freezing, but 16 fresh faces gathered outside our new home, the University of Westminster. Greeted and briefed by the awesome Cory on the goodness of GoodGym. We were promised a 10k run but low and behold we forgot that this wouldn't be your average 10k, oh no, the ever optimistic Cory had an extra 1.5k up his sleeve, we know we'll thank him later! Our mission this week, to spring clean The Avenues Youth Project in North Westminster.

We set off at a steady pace conversations in full flow, comparing New Years resolutions (New Year, new body, cheers GoodGym!). We arrived at the Centre, wet feet, glistening faces, and full of enthusiasm. We were greeted by the lovely Carol and Zippy who introduced us to the Centre and the many great services they provide for young people, encouraging them to be positive, creative and live fulfilled lives whilst contributing to their own communities.

The group split into two, one clearing out the cupboards and making sure everything was dust free and cleaned to perfection, the other tackled the windows in the main sports hall, leaving them shiny, if a bit streaky (we'll be back next month to fix that!). After 35 minutes we said our goodbyes and promised to return soon.

The group pounded the pavements back via that special junction the locals know so well and a number of other popular tourist spots, wishing we'd kept up our running routines over the Christmas break! We arrived back at base, slightly redder, slightly hungrier and, as ever, full of cheer! 7.1 miles. Bam.

Now from me.... 7miles is no joke, i know i said it was going to be 6 and change but i lied lol.. just like last week i foooled you allllll into running 1 more, this week we did the same... really proud of all you AND we all got back safe and sound, home in one piece just in time for supper....
