Anna part-ready with a bare tree

Two GoodGymmers and one reindeer went to Anna's house to help her finish getting ready for Christmas - Hackney runner Andreana, Islington regular Kike, and reindeer Sarah can normally be seen in her natural habitat of Haringey but on this occasion had just come from spreading some Christmas cheer on the Southbank.

Anna is an artist but can't lift anything heavy, so although she had a Christmas tree she needed some help setting it up and getting the decorations down from the loft. This is the fourth Christmas running (ba-dum tsssh) that GoodGym has been able to help with this task.

Under the loft hatch there was a wardrobe with some boxes that had to be moved before we could get access. This was soon accomplished with a bit of teamwork - then Andreana was up the ladder in a flash and into the loft. You could say she was loft in a childhood dream of exploring dusty attics - we think she would have been quite happy to stay up there! However we quickly refocused on the task at hand and three boxes of decorations were carried downstairs.

Good cheer was the order of the day and the conversation, led by Anna, was about how much we all love GoodGym.

Anna's cat came to inspect the tree and declared it purrrrfect. She is especially looking forward to batting the decorations once Anna has put them on the tree.

Having completed the task the tree musketeers set off together in the direction of Mile End Park, cutting through the Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park on the way and admiring the December daffodils. We also discovered a strange artefact - a large.... flower? Sceptre? Poppy seed head? Answers on a postcard please!
