All you need is Dove

As suggested I gave Mr T a call before setting off for the mission just to clarify what exactly he wanted. On top of the Dove ("it has to be Dove") deodorant that crucially couldn't be anti-perspirant, he also wanted to some soap as well.

It seemed like a very modest ask so I checked if he wanted any food as well but he assured me that his fridge was bursting at the seams with food so he really didn't need any more!

Against my instinct I didn't go via the Boots near my house on the way to his as he'd recommended I could get his deodorant at either the Tesco or Co-Op near his house. It transpires I couldn't and after checking a couple of other small corner shop type places I kept drawing blanks. All deodorant appears to be anti-perspirant these days it would seem.

Undeterred I located a Boots that wasn't too far away and sure enough they had the Dove deodorant I so dearly sought and I also picked up some Dove soap at the same time, thoroughly relieved I'd managed to get what I needed.

A quick cycle back to his, and even quicker exchange and a chat at his door and all that was left was a cycle home.
