A Work of Tart

The weekly shop for Mrs J,

On a gloriously sunny Saturday,

Up and down the Asda aisle,

Tick off the list and into the pile,

Basket full of the usual treats,

Chocolate and crisps and things to eat,

Shopping paid, and delivered to Mrs J,

She greets me with ‘You look tired today’,

I agree, Mrs J, I’ve a lack of sleep,

But I signed up to shop for you, a promise I must keep,

Mrs J sent me home and told me to rest,

‘Thank you, love you’, ah she’s the best ❤️
