A first time task helping out at Clifton Down Growing Space this morning. This project has come about with the aim to transform the underutilized space at the end of Alma Vale Road behind Clifton Down Shopping Centre into a thriving site for growing food.

With a growing interest in food cultivation and a significant demand for allotments in Bristol, this project presents an opportunity to provide individuals with smaller plots to learn and develop their gardening skills while engaging with the community.

Joining a group of regular volunteers and local university students, we tidied out some of the redundant planter boxes, clearing away the old vegetation, and filling these with bark and soil to create some fresh mulch, so that these would be ready for the next people on the waiting list to start growing their own veg.

A lovely project and great company 🤗
