Mission

A sofa-tastic evening

2 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Slough.

Two runners completed a mission to move a large sofa so a lady could return home from hospital (by making room for a hospital bed).

It wasn't quite as simple as a lift and shift but luckily Ricky had a bag of tools and soon got to work dismantling the sofa into sections.

One couch became three mini couchettes and Ruth and Ricky were able to do a bit of 'to me, to you' and a slow sofa shuffle to get each section outside.

There was no sitting on the job and putting their feet up on this task (until the job was done, as Ruth demonstrates!)

The lady's sister was on hand to let us know what she needed doing and was amazed our services cost nothing.

With a grateful handshake and a 'God bless', Ricky and Ruth, the wreckers of retired recliners, were on their way.
