A Prop-er Good Deed

Tonight 7 of us ran 7km at 7pm to help out at Hanwell Community Centre!

We started this evening by meeting new runner Ronan, he's already earned his keep by both getting stuck in with tonight's task and coming up with the pun for the run report, thank you Ronan! We also welcomed backPhill and Michelle joining us for their second good deeds this evening, great to have you both back :)

We weren't sure what to expect upon arrival at the community centre this evening as we'd only been told that we'd be helping to tidy and clean and it seemed the lovely caretaker on-site wasn't too sure either! However it wasn't long before we found something to keep us busy and we were set to work tidying the prop room in the basement.

There was a lot to tackle and with limited time we decided to work as a team to get the area generally looking neater by moving relevant props to the same area and clearing away anything we could along the way. Talk soon turned to former resident of the building, Charlie Chaplin which led me to do a spot of googling to keep us entertained. Let's just say a lot of stories about the building being haunted came up....

The basement suddenly felt a lot creepier!

We weren't sure how much difference we'd make but by the time we came to leave the whole space looked noticeably tidier! There was even time for a quick drum by Mike and Suganthanie at the end.

Just enough time was left for a few sprinting games outside the front of the building where Larissa won round one by taking a slight detour and avoiding the final tree to run around (we'll let you off ;)) and Ronan would have won round two if it hadn't been for Mike's diversion tactics!
