Six of our awesome Goodgym Bexley team headed out on the DEEP CEAN RUN yesterday evening. The weather was brilliant and the start of the lighter evening lifted everyone's spirits and smiles as we started our warm up.

IT WASN'T LONG BEFORE THE GARMINS WERE STARTED

It wasn't long before the Garmins were started and we headed out to The Greenwich and Bexley Hospice shop. The run to our destination tonight was a very straight 2.5K but had the added fun of great conversation combined with dodging in and out of the local pedestrians going about their business. On arrival to our task we were greeted by Mandy, her team and a refreshing glass of water. We were excited to find out that we were working in the very first store of the Hospice. It was opened by two patients over 25 years ago and that they were refurbishing it and making it into a children's clothes and toy shop. This all made the task even more special as we all felt we were helping take the store onto its next journey. This evening task was a deep clean of the kitchen. Who'd of thought cleaning the kitchen and toilet area could be so much fun. Try fitting 7 people into a small kitchen and you will find out 😂. After we smashed out task we posed for a few photos. Well would be rude not to. We headed back on our return run. As we reached Welling football club we I decided it was a great place for a sit down. Well a sit down with a deference. The competition heated up as we we lined up for a seated squat competition. You guys were awesome, but the special shout has to go out to Eileen who came out victorious.

WITH LEGS A LITTLE WOBBLY WE HEADED OFF AGAIN

With legs a little wobbly we head off again, well as far as the next wall where it was time for a little arm workout. OK, OK two arm workouts............ With all the chat and laughs it wasn't long before we arrived back at Crooklog Sports Centre. With 5K in the bag and another fab task under our belts we gathered round and chatted about our weekend runs and training. Well done Sarah on completing your fastest park run and without having to stop running, be very proud. Also a massive high five to Janine who is going to the other side of the world to volunteer in an orphanage for a few months, just brilliant. After showing the Bexley Goodgym team some core and balance exercises the evening was finished off with our cool down. Well done guys, you smashed it this evening. See you all next week.
