Mission

A Clean Sweep and Curry to Go

1 GoodGymer made their way to help an isolated older person in Hackney.

Mrs N has a small front garden which attracts a lot of rubbish blown in off the street. Goodgym was asked to help clear the litter and debris to enable safe access.

Anne turned up with her trusted gardening gloves to get the job done. There were also a lot of weeds growing between paving stones and trapping the litter, so Anne agreed to get rid of everything. Within the hour, Anne had filled the garden waste bin and a sack of rubbish.

As a finishing touch, a young geranium was transplanted from the end of the garden into a flower pot by the door where Mrs N can water it more easily.

The final (unscheduled) task was to pop round to the corner shop and swap a packet of hot chilli powder which had been bought in error by another well-meaning helper for hot curry powder which was what Mrs N really wanted.

Litter cleared, flower potted and spice swapped, Anne left a happy Mrs N chatting to a passing neighbour who had stopped to admire the tidy garden.

(Apologies, no before shots, or pictures of curry powder!)
