I’ve been shopping for the lovely Ms Y for 18 months, she’s housebound and has very limited mobility. Today was her 80th birthday and I wanted to make sure that it wasn’t just carers that she saw. So we planned a birthday tea for this afternoon, I bought things for her that she wouldn’t dream of buying for herself and she put on her best dress - she loved it! In many ways it was just like a social visit.
