8 well-paced runners ran 6km and cleaned up!

Now the cold weather is truly upon us, Urban Reef will be reserving a table for us to meet inside at 6,.15pm rather than meeting on the prom. So we enjoy a lovely cosy atmosphere while signing in!

Team vote was to run up from the pier via a zig zag - we are mastering the art of running up hill AND chatting! The whole run over to Southbourne passed in a bit of a flash as the group were full of conversation, from tinder to takeaways…yum!

This week we’d been tasked with cleaning Faithworks office and altering some leaflets to add in their new office address. In order to get the key to office, we enlisted the help of Peter our temporary motorcycle courier. He kindly collect the key and met us in the lovely dark alleyway where we were waiting. I explained to the group that it wasn't my flat we were coming to clean...that Faithworks are an amazing charity running foodbanks, support for single parent families, befriending and much more! By cleaning their office we save them precious time and money so they can get on with the really important stuff.

Once into the offices we had been left a checklist to ensure all cleaning jobs were completed. Music on, lights on, gloves on - off we went. Ross single handedly made over the kitchen - good work. Daryl and Peter got straight to work on the leaflets and the others rushed off to sweep, mop, polish and buff. Good work team!

A speedy run back to pier was needed and we made it back just in time for a warm down. I mentioned the Boscombe 10km….Simon my bad - it is November not October, brain was not in gear. So we have time to sign up and get 10k ready. Who is in???

Next week we are giving ourselves some promotion….8km….high viz needed!
