Painting High Numbers

About an hour before last night's Group Run I received an e-mail from GG HQ setting out "The GoodGym 50 Challenge"

We would like to encourage each GoodGym area to creatively display the number of their GoodGym launch using as many people as possible

Oh...... and it needs to be done by 20 March!

So our pre run discussions were all around creative thinking and how to come up with the number 37. It just so happened we had a painting task....hmmm!

Castle Hill Community Centre is one of our regular winter venues and we've painted lots and lots of it - it's huge. It's also our longest run at about 5 miles round trip.

Last night's room - quite fortunately was predominantly blue and needed to be painted magnolia, so here was our number opportunity!

Goodgym Ipswich was the 37th Goodgym area to launch so Robin took the lead in painting a giant "37" which looked great on the blue background. After posing for a few photos the team set to work and the number quickly disappeared, along with the rest of the blueness in the room.

The distance of the run back and people peeling off at various points meant there was no demand for the usual interval sets off our main route, so a steady pace took us back to base.

I also had a message from GG HQ to say we haven't had anyone from GG Ipswich sign up to come to the Goodgym National Shindig yet. We would really love to have 2 people from every area, so we get a true representation from the whole of GoodGym.
