That's enough of the business
Wednesday means GoodGym Southwark day! Last night we gathered at Old Spike Roastery to run to Cossall Estate to tend to their raised beds. Jaki met us there and showed us to the tools - gloves neatly paired up! The dream!
With gardening gloves, forks, pruning shears and more we set to work on the raised beds trying to uncover the trees that had been planted and were overgrown with weeds. This meant - you guessed it - a LOT of nettle-pulling. We made huge progress and uncovered fennel, strawberries and some kind of unidentified currant.
We filled 14 bags of garden waste. Great work!
Nettle-stung-a-plenty we went into the Tenants Hall (which looks fabulous after being refurbished - we helped pull up all the old carpet), enjoyed a capri sun and had some fitness fun! A mini circuit including burpees, squat jumps and glute bridges and a surprise cone-related twist. It was a sweaty one!
See you next week.
