Help out a local community garden group for their annual open day
Location

Date and time
08:30 - 11:30We have been asked by a group in Platt Fields Park to help with the set up, and possibly the set down/clear up, for their National Garden Scheme open day on Sunday 27th July.
Depending on numbers, we may split this into an early risers group to help with set-up and another group to help with the clear up at the end of the day. Mostly, it will be extra help with setting up, running stalls, putting up a marquee, and clearing away at the end so come for as long or as little as you wish.
Meeting point is inside the Shakespearean Gardens in Platt Fields Park, What3Words: ///settle.lifted.always
The Shakespearean Garden or via Platt Fields Park
The concept of a Shakespearean Garden was first developed in Victorian England with the idea of creating a garden with some, or all, of the trees and flowers mentioned in the Bard’s works. With strong links to the suffrage movement and Edwardian society our garden opened in 1922 and was rescued from near obscurity by volunteers 4 yrs ago.
