Although slightly cooler this week (but by no means less sweaty) we set off for our third visit to Thomson House School, where we were tasked with giving the playground a little spring cleaning.

Some friendly faces gathered at Whole Foods before we were soon put through our paces by Mark. To get our blood pumping we did a few karate kicks in our warm up, and from the reactions of the local kids trying to join in, it must have looked as fun as it felt. Soon we were off on our way to Mortlake to see Jeremy again. Possibly the happiest, friendliest caretaker in the world? You bechta. We were even offered a cuppa! Thanks Jez.

We were even offered a cuppa!

Upon arrival we found the school was actually having some new artwork done, courtesy of graffiti artists. Sadly our creative skills weren’t quite up to scratch so we were given the other side of the playground to tidy. After some brisk sweeping and general cleaning the playground was so clean it resembled something out of 60 Minute Makeover. If only we had the before and after pictures! Good work team.

Then it was back to Whole Foods where Olivia took us through a well needed cool-down whilst Steven’s ‘another one bites the dust’ pun was clearly the winner of the night.

A big well done and welcome to new faces Natalia and Meg, and well done to everyone for giving the pupils at Thomson House School a spick and span playground ready for tomorrow.

Awesome run report this week written by Bryony Wilson on only her 2nd time running with GG Richmond, great job!

As mentioned tonight please throw some ideas around about how we can celebrate our one year anniversary. We are looking for this to take place on Saturday 15th July and the winner of ideas so far is a sports day. Please also let me know if you wish to take part in helping arrange this event Email me at markb@goodgym.org
