Post Community Newspapers
Free, not-for-profit community newspapers published in print and online every month that are dedicated to supporting local communities. With a focus on positive and relevant community-focused news and information, Post Community Newspapers help keep communities better informed, connected and supported. With a current print circulation of over 40,000 per month across five boroughs, as well as thousands of online reads, The Post provides an accessible and engaging publication read across all demographics.

We have been asked about distributing the Manchester Post to local neighbourhoods in Manchester. We have carried out a similar task for the Stockport Post recently.

As a trial run, we will deliver to residents in the Longsight/Ardwick area, as it is close from my flat where they can drop the newspapers to. There will be ~200-300 newspapers in total. We will stick to well lit areas in small groups depending on numbers.

For those who wish to get a run in, the meeting point is: Brunswick Parish Church, Brunswick Street, Manchester, M13 9SX or What3words: ///washed.pigs.sports

For those who want to meet at the delivery start site: 139 Clarence Road, Longsight, Manchester, M13 0YJ or What3word: ///bike.funded.scary

About GoodGym

We're a friendly and social group who combine exercise with helping out in the local community. We meet every week to get active and do a physical task to help the charities and community organisations and projects across the Manchester region.

The Run/Walk/Cycle

GoodGym is for everyone. We welcome runners of all abilities. We always have a back-marker so no-one is left behind - we're about achieving something together so you'll always be welcome no matter what your pace is.

Dress appropriately for outdoor conditions. Lights and hi vis for the darker evenings.

Walkable

You will be able to join a group walking to the task if you'd prefer not to run.

Options are available to run between 3km and 6km in total

Remember that we run/walk to and from the task, so you'll only be running/walking for half this distance in one go.

This is a standard GoodGym group run. If you're worried about any aspect of the session, contact us.
