Helping at Grow for Life's annual Apple Day in Newton St Loe

Working with Grow for Life so they can increase their work in therapeutic horticulture and help more people who are suffering with anxiety, depression and isolation.

They will provide tools, please bring gloves if you have some though spares are also available. Please wear clothes appropriate for gardening tasks.

The postcode is BA2 9DA, but if you follow satnav that will take you through the village to the house rather than the walled garden. Directions; turn off at the top of the Pennyquick Hill where you see the sign for Newton Farm Shop (left if coming from Odd Down direction, right if coming up from The Globe). Continue along the road just 100m from the Pennyquick turn off, then turn left before the high wall that runs along the road. If you don’t make this turn into the yard, you’ll end up at the Farm Shop, which is no bad thing, they do good coffee! There is plenty of space to park in the yard next to the Walled Garden. The garden has toilets and drinking water plus now a new cabin with electricity for shelter/hot drinks!
