Marie-Noelle, Doris and Rachel returned to Canbury Community Garden to continu work on maintaining the pathways. The weeds between the raised beds were slowly invading the paths again! So shovels, secateurs and shears in hand we trimmed, cut and dug up several wheelbarrows of weeds. Surplus soil was rescued and moved into pots ready for new planting and the weeds piled onto the already full compost heap where the hens were busy pecking. We locked the flock of hens back into their pen after they made a beeline for fresh food and on our way out we picked up a lovely token of fresh herbs and garlic!
