23 Camdenites ran 6km & put up a HUGE gazebo for Kentish Town City Farm in preparation for their Apple Day this Sunday!

Awesome sauce are the words I thought at the start, middle and end of last night. Well done all - lots of fun! Welcome along to Regina whose first time it was at GG last night - lovely to have you as part of the gang!

In the news this week:

  1. Well done and thank you to Laura whose 50th Good Deed is was yesterday, she has been part of GG Camden since January 2015 and the majority of her deeds come from Camden Group Runs - impressive stuff! Give her a cheer!
  2. Frances is organising the Big Six meeting tonight at Somerset House, where the GG Race Team Big Six Races for 2018 will be decided. Go along if you can!
  3. Of course GG Xmas Party on Friday 8th December - all the fun!

On to last night, after a quick intro, Frances did the warm up & then we were away - heading north by north-west to Kentish Town City Farm. Lovely 2.88km run up through some busy but also quiet streets - a sea of red was on the way to the farm!

We met Mel at the Farm, she told us all about health & safety (don't put your hands in your mouth due to poo) and our task for the evening - we'd be putting together the gazebo on the top cow field in preparation for Apple Day this weekend (1500 people plus are expected!). A group of 10 people grabbed all the gazebo parts and we made our way through the farm, via the goats, left at the scaregrow and past the poooooo!

Tom Benson's Light showed us the way

After laying all the pieces out, we were missing THREE FEET! Search, search, find, found. Okay good. Everyone took a connector and put pieces A & C together - nice! At this point we had a gazebo that only children could use and of course Steve on his knees - he is an engineer and loves it!

LEGS UP! Putting one side of the legs up first and then the other we were done. You'd think right? Wrong gotta do some stuff with flaps, hooks, toggles & bags of poop - you had to be there (made sense to me).

Goat selfie time!

Post-group pic's we hugged the goats and washed our hands before heading south to go to the pub :)

Good evening everyone, I wasn't feeling top of the pops but you guys make me feel a lot better with all this gooood, and the animals obvs, mainly the animals really. Okay cool.

We are off to Skip Garden next week for our HALLOWEEN SPECIAL (dress up costumes recommended), sign up here - also doing our monthly time trial!

PB out.
