The Sun always shines on TV

3 GoodGymers made their way to help an isolated older person in Southwark.

A miserable early morning was forgotten when the sun started to shine on three GoodGym troopers as we arrived at Mrs D's flat in gritty South Bermondsey. A special shout out to VARINA for her FIRST MISSION. Also to Lucia who came off her bike en route but still made it.

Mrs D was being discharged from Guy's and her hospital bed needed to be moved in so it was out with the old, in with the new. A simple if physical job but the bed came apart quite easily and we dragged the mattress, two sections and a headboard down two flights of stairs to the external bins.

Well within our capabilities, we were done within 15 minutes and even had time to dump an old-school TV that had passed its expiry date. Photos taken, we left Mrs D's grateful daughter and headed back to our day jobs.
